Astrological Ages
An astrological age is a time frame of about 2000 to 2500 years that signifies a particular zodiacal influence. An astrological age lasts many hundreds of generations, and the overall zodiacal keynote is seen in the predominant civilizations, cultures, and religions on Earth at that time.
Age of Aquarius
In the early 1960s the Earth shifted from the age of Pisces to the age of Aquarius, the sign of humanitarianism, equality, progress, inventions, and technology.
The age of Pisces, characterized by the “axial age” religious values of devotion, solitude, and humility, eventually degenerated into a disconnect between the spirit and the body. The age of Aquarius unveils the revolutionary teachings of sacred sexuality.
Planetary Influences of Aquarius
Aquarius is ruled by the planets Saturn and Uranus.
Saturn signifies time and the end of times, limitations, karma, aging, and death.
Uranus is like a lightning bolt that can electrify the system and produce great changes, or destroy the system.
Some astrologers say that Uranus is better called Prometheus, the champion of mankind who delivered fire from the gods to humans, and who is an archetype of intelligence and new ideas.
Uranus is also related to sexuality in its highest form, which is an understanding that sexuality is a tremendous force for transformation.
Samael Aun Weor and the Modern Gnostic Movement
Samael Aun Weor stated that the Age of Aquarius started February 4, 1962 between two and three in the afternoon when all the planets aligned in the sign of Aquarius. An astrological chart for that date and time shows the seven classical planets aligned in Aquarius.

Samael Aun Weor opened up the teachings of the revolution of the consciousness, and the possibility of self-realization through upright sexuality.
Leo, the opposite sign of Aquarius, is also part of the key to this internal revolution. The solar force, strength and power of the lion is necessary to be able to work with the law of karma and pay debts owed.
Age of Aquarius and Revolutionary Teachings
In accordance with the spirit of Aquarius, the teachings of awakening are for every person.
Aquarius is the water bearer, giving wisdom to suffering humanity. There is no hierarchy, every person has their own internal God and the inner guru to guide them. This is a teaching of individuality, everyone realizes their own particular Being.
The shift from the age of Pisces into the age of Aquarius was characterized by the Dionysion wave, a movement toward personal liberation and a rejection of Mamon, the demon of materialism.
The Aquarian age is characterized by high technology and widespread access to information and knowledge for the benefit of all, and a drive toward a social, political and sexual revolution. But the negative pole is still very present with greed, exploitation, war, chaos, ignorance and misery even among this time of great possibilities.

Update: December 2020
On December 21, 2020 the planets Jupiter and Saturn conjoined in the sign of Aquarius, ending a 200 year cycle in the earth element, and beginning a long cycle in the air element.
In addition, there will be a stellium of 6 planets in Aquarius in February 2021, similar to the stellium of 7 planets in February 1962 that Master Samael refers to.
This all indicates strong Aquarian themes starting in December 2020, but this is a different, smaller, cycle than the astrological age of Aquarius according to the precession of the equinoxes.
