Sahasrara Chakra

Posted on August 25, 2015

The seventh chakra is called Sahasrara, which means”one thousand petals”. It is also called Shunya which means “void”, and Niralambapuri which means “place where one dwells without support”.

This chakra is located in the cerebral plexus and the pineal gland.

This chakra is related to divine energy, and to the aspects of liberation and balance. The chakra has one thousand petals, and corresponds to the superior sense of polyvision.

The psychological defects that blocks Sahasrara are ignorance and separativity. The reflection for this chakra is “the beginning is equal to the end, plus the sum of experience”.

Meditating on this chakra, vocalize the vowel I (rhyming with “see”). Use this to energize this chakra and to investigate ignorance and separativity within your psychology.

“People confuse consciousness with intelligence or with the intellect, and the very intelligent or very intellectual person is given the title of very conscious. We affirm that the consciousness in humans is without a doubt and beyond any fear of deceiving ourselves a very particular kind of apprehension of inner knowledge completely independent of all mental activity. The faculty of consciousness permits us the knowledge of ourselves.”

Samael Aun Weor
