Tyranny
The cruel and unjust use of power haunts human history. Tyranny is the imbalance of the sacred forces of mercy and justice. it is the lack of wisdom to trust in the innate goodness of humanity. It is born from the fear of death, creating a void of faith wherein a lust for power flows. Tyranny thrives in a power vacuum.
Whenever a hierarchy, an existing authority or structure is removed, it is inevitably replaced with multiple tyrannies competing with each other. See the tendencies for interminable violence and chaos of turf wars and civil wars after the fall of a ruling government in countries. While the government may have been corrupt and cruel, the smaller multiple tyrannies are as bad or worse.
Anarchy
Organizations, communities, and other social groups that are by design anti-authority or anarchist (literally “without archon or ruler”) will inevitably devolve into multiple tyrannical factions.
These competing factions will inevitably have more laws and more rules, but the rules are unspoken, implied, constantly changing, and contradictory. This is because of the conflict of multiple tyrannies all vying for power in a disorganized way. Ultimately the pendulum swings in the other direction and a totalitarian force prevails.
Social media is a good example of this in modern times. Initially intended as a way for all people to equally share and express without centralized oversight, social media now functions as a tool to capture our attention with provoking content so advertisers can generate revenue. At the same time, unseen forces strictly control the flow of content, so it becomes the exact totalizing power it tried to avoid as a non-hiearchical system.
Deliberate and idealized attempts to go without authority is futile because the authority merely fragments, becomes corrupt, and is vulnerable to complete capture.
Authority
The solution to tyranny is to understand true authority, from the root meaning “leader, master, author”, also related to the word authentic. True authority is to be masters of ourselves. True authority resides within the deepest and most authentic aspect of every human- the internal Being, our inner God.
The Sufis say that the one who has no master has Satan as his master. If we want to overcome external tyranny then we must submit to the authority of our internal Being.
All true religions have the key to reunion with God. All the prophets, saints, and masters, the ones with internal revelation and communion with God, were martyred during their various time periods by tyrannical leaders.
Finding One’s Own Center and Inner Authority
In order to overcome external tyranny we must overcome internal tyranny. What are those fractionated and psychological aspects of ourselves that are always fighting for our attention? What is within ourselves that makes us put our selfish interests first without willingness to sacrifice?
This is the ego, the psychic aggregates, which we must overcome through the light of the consciousness and the yearning to know reality.
It may sound strange but the most fundamental reality is the existence of sex, both as a biological distinction in human beings and also the acts of union.
Sex is the originally created resistance to tyranny. Sex as a sacred act renews, rejuvenates. It generates love, life, and a glimpse of our primordial unified state. The denial of sexual difference, of sexual creative power, adn of the ontological reality of sexual energy as divine energy is a tactic to homogenize a human to more easily succumb to tyranny.
Love, Sex, Religion, and Liberation
Samael Aun Weor reveals the key at the heart of all religions- the divine, creative, sexual force alchemized with love and spiritual yearning.
“The mysteries of fire are contained within the perfect matrimony. All fire cults are absolutely sexual. It is unfortunate that modern vestals (nuns) do not know the key of sexual magic. it is unfortunate that the priests of this day and age have forgotten the secret key of sex.”
-Samael Aun Weor, The Perfect Matrimony
True authority resides in our ability to dissolve the psychological ‘I’, the internal tyrannical force that keeps us hypnotized and miserable.
True power exists within the cooperation of man and woman in the arduous work of love.
True liberation resides in our willingness to understand diversity and unity and therefore continually sacrifice for our fellow humans.
